PennantPark Founder and Managing Partner, Art Penn, spoke on the Private Markets panel at the 17th Annual Global ARC Conference

PennantPark Founder and Managing Partner, Art Penn, participated in the Private Markets panel at the 17th Annual Global ARC conference last week. Art provided an overview on some of the credit-focused strategies that institutional investors can leverage during the current cycle.

Art was joined on the panel by Gordon Bajnai of Campbell Lutyens, Theodore Koenig of Monroe Capital LLC, Jonathan Dorfman of Napier Park Global Capital, and Dan Sparks of Shelter Growth Capital Partners | SG Capital Partners. Art and the participants engaged in a lively discussion of where panelists thought interest rates are headed, what investors should be focusing on given where we are in the cycle and the lender-friendly changes that have impacted loan structures in the broadly syndicated loan market, what the next cycle might look like and when that might happen, and why experience through the Global Financial Crisis is so critical when it comes to manager selection.

It was a pleasure to attend and sponsor Global ARC Boston 2019 and we enjoyed discussing the pressing macroeconomic, finance, geopolitical, ethical and institutional issues that impact investors.
