The PennantPark Senior Loan Fund, LLC (“PSLF”) is a joint venture (JV) between PNNT and Pantheon, a leading global alternative private markets investor. PSLF invests in first lien debt of middle market companies, consistent with the overarching PennantPark investment philosophy.
The added investment capacity facilitated by PSLF allows PNNT and PennantPark to speak for larger holds and as such be more meaningful to private equity and borrower clients. PennantPark’s application of the JV structure allows third-party investors (such as Pantheon) and PNNT shareholders to capture returns that are typically significantly higher than what the underlying senior loans generate.
